Daughter-father team maintain focus running Aspen Eyewear

BOULDER  The first thing a person might notice when they walk into Aspen Eyewear is the couch owner Heinz Ebner made it from the back of a 1955 Chevy.

At one time, there was a dashboard hanging on the wall behind the couch, but his daughter, Jennifer Ebner, made him take it down.

When Heinz isn’t making glasses, he’s building cars. If you see a white World War II-vintage Willys Wagon jeep in front of the store, you know Heinz is at work.

In addition to the Willys Wagon, Heinz has built a 1937 Ford Hot Rod with a Corvette motor.…
