Bite Footwear using Crocs’ Croslite

NIWOT – Bite Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Niwot-based Crocs Inc. (Nasdaq: CROX), has begun to use Crocs’ proprietary closed-cell resin material Croslite in the footbeds of Bite Footwear products.

The Adventure 3-in-1 series sandals will be Bite’s first shoes to feature Croslite material, which is known for its lightweight, antimicrobial, waterproof and odor-resistant properties.

Founded in 1996 in Redmond, Wash., Bite Footwear makes shoe and sports sandals and introduced the first sports sandal with a removable insole, the first bio-mechanically correct footwear for fishing and the first dedicated disc golf shoes to the sports market.

The Bite Footwear brand was purchased by Crocs Inc. for $1.75 million in July.
