Illinois developer planning mixed-use on 82 acres north of Exempla hospital

LAFAYETTE – An Illinois developer has gained approval from the city of Lafayette to propose a mixed-used project on 82 acres north of the Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center.

Todd Raufeisen of Raufeisen Development Co. said he will propose a project on the site at U.S. 287 and Colorado 42 that includes a mix of commercial, residential and institutional buildings supporting the medical center to the south. Raufeisen is proposing one to two hotels on the property with about 150 to 200 rooms.

Additionally, he’s working with the city to include green space and bike paths.
