Sun debuts Project Blackbox

BROOMFIELD – Chief information officers and data center managers are wrestling with how to balance their expanding need for capacity with cutting costs and managing the space and power crunch in their data centers. Sun Microsystems debuted its Project Blackbox in Broomfield as a potential answer.

A data center in a standard, 20-foot shipping container, Project Blackbox is a virtualized data center, optimized for rapid deployment and energy, space and performance efficiency.
