Code of ethics prevents poaching by EcoDevos

It was clear in 2003 that Weld County had a better chance of luring the Owens-Illinois Inc. bottling plant than Larimer County. So the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corp. did the neighborly thing and lent support to its eastern competitors.

As a result, when Windsor eventually beat out Cheyenne for the $100 million project, the entire region won, netting more than 140 new jobs with an average salary of $40,000.

The days of county neighbors attempting to steal potential corporate clients were numbered.
