Economic development merger set tone for regional marketplace

In the fall of 1999, economic development in Northern Colorado was poised to morph. Bill Argo, president of the Greeley/Weld Economic Development Action Partnership Inc. (EDAP), resigned; Don Churchwell was about to leave his post as executive director of the Loveland Economic Development Council. Only Roland Mower, president of the Fort Collins Economic Development Corp., remained in place as the clock ticked toward the

millennium.

Merger of economic development agencies, at least for Larimer County, was in the air.
