City offers homeowners energy efficiency audits

BOULDER – Homeowners worried about high heating bills this winter can find ways to conserve energy through a new program.

The city of Boulder is sponsoring “Home Performance with Energy Star” for existing homes. The program, which began last September, is available to all homeowners who, for between $200 and $500, can have a contractor conduct an on-site energy efficiency audit of their home and provide a list of money-saving recommendations.
