West Greeley tops region for housing resales in 2003
Greeley’s west side was the hottest market in Northern Colorado for home resales during 2003, according to an analysis of zip codes in the region.
The analysis, conducted by Re/Max International, showed that 1,205 listings in the 80634 zip code were sold last year by real estate agents. The average price in the 80634 zip code was $194,006.
By comparison, the same zip code experienced 1,036 sales in 2002 at an average of $193,134.
The second-busiest zip code for resales was 80501 in Longmont, with 1,185 sales at an average of $218,295. The southeast Fort Collins zip code of 80525 was No. 3 at 1,097 listings sold for an average of $222,148. Loveland’s 80538 zip code finished fourth with 1,008 sales at $218,390 per transaction.
For the year, real estate agents sold 17,556 resale homes in 2003 at an average price of $249,809. That’s an increase of 19.3 percent from the 14,711 sold last year. However, average price slipped from $257,838.
