Donaldson leaving legacy of quality

FORT COLLINS — Mike Donaldson’s future was cast in stone by the time he was 12 years old. His father and uncles owned their own contracting firm in Wisconsin, and Donaldson’s job was to keep track of time sheets. “When I wasn’t doing time sheets, I was hunting frogs,” he said.

He graduated from Colorado State University and obtained a law degree. Rather than pursue law, however, he chose to follow — more or less — in his father’s footsteps and opened his own brokerage and development company in 1976.
