Pangea Soap owner works toward balance

BOULDER — After traipsing through places like Nepal, Tibet and Thailand, Joshua Onysko realized a way of supporting his beliefs while supporting his lifestyle. ?When I was in Cambodia, I decided what I wanted to do and how I could change what I didn’t like,? he said.

The basis of his business concept is rooted in a view that consumerism is unnecessarily stripping natural resources. Launching a company that sells products created in a way that makes the business good for both people and the planet meets his goal of putting things back into balance.

Christopher Wood is editor and publisher of BizWest, a regional business journal covering Boulder, Broomfield, Larimer and Weld counties. Wood co-founded the Northern Colorado Business Report in 1995 and served as publisher of the Boulder County Business Report until the two publications were merged to form BizWest in 2014. From 1990 to 1995, Wood served as reporter and managing editor of the Denver Business Journal. He is a Marine Corps veteran and a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder.
