Boulder County Business Hall of Fame seeks nominations for 2001 event

BOULDER – – Nominations are currently being solicited for the ninth annual Boulder County Business Hall of Fame. The deadline for submitting nominations is Dec 1.

The Boulder County Business Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have been instrumental, through business-related efforts, in providing direction, energy and support to the shaping of Boulder County since its inception. A permanent display is located in the Regal Harvest House Hotel in Boulder.

Hall of Fame inductees in 2000 were Stan Elmore, of Stan’s Tire & Auto in Lafayette; Tom and Caroline Hoyt of McStain Enterprises in Boulder; Bob Greenlee, co-founder of Rock Bottom Restaurant Group; John Sackett, CEO of Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville; and Richard Salberg, president of The First National Bank of Longmont.

Each year, the award recipients are honored at a luncheon attended by previous winners, supporters and leaders of the business and civic community. Honorees are selected by a board of directors representing cities and towns throughout Boulder County.
