Fax machines evolving with technology

Survival in today’s office environment requires an ability to change with the times. And the fax machine is a good example of how innovation can save an old piece of equipment from extinction.

You might ex-pect that the fax, developed in 1842, would be collecting dust in most modern offices, easily replaced with e-mail, fax-software packages, scanners and overnight mail services.

Think again. Compared to the typewriter by office-supply experts, the fax machine will always have a place in business offices, they say.
