Weather Service moving regional operations to Boulder
BOULDER — For more than 100 years the National Weather Service’s regional office has been shuffled all over Denver due to a lack of funding for a permanent building.
In May, however, the regional weather service finally will move into what it hopes will be its permanent home. The weather service will occupy about 5,000 square feet of the new $61.5 million 236,500-square-foot National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration facility located along South Broadway in Boulder.
