Fort Collins business veteran joins NCBR

Fort Collins business veteran Norm James has joined The Northern Colorado Business Report as an account executive.
Norm most recently worked as a partner/sales associate with The Group Inc. in Fort Collins.
James also launched the local franchise of Homes & Land Magazine in 1983 and was recognized as the nation’s top first-year franchisee. He sold the magazine in 1990.
Jeff Nuttall, director of sales and marketing and co-owner of the Business Report, said James brings many strengths to the newspaper’s staff.
“We had a strong team before, but it’s even stronger now,” Nuttall said. “Norm is well-connected in the area. He’ll be a major asset as we work to solidify our position as the region’s dominant business newspaper.”
James said a position like that at the Business Report was just what he was looking for after selling his interest in The Group earlier this year.
“I am excited to serve the business community through my affiliation with the premier business newspaper in Northern Colorado,” James said. “It is a great opportunity for me and a chance to be a part of Rthe voice of Northern Colorado business.’ “
A 1969 graduate of the University of Wyoming, James is married to Carol. Their son, Tyler, 19, serves in the U.S. Army. Their daughter, Lori, 23, and her husband, Bryce Wenger, 22, reside in Anchorage, Alaska.
At the Business Report, James will sell advertising in a variety of industries. He can be reached at (970) 221-5400.
