Zipcar launches car-sharing service in Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS – Car-sharing company Zipcar announced on Monday that it has expanded into Fort Collins with a six-car fleet.

Zipcar, a subsidiary of Avis Budget Group Inc., allows members to reserve cars via mobile app for hourly or daily use.

The Fort Collins launch of the service builds on a program in the Denver metro area where the company has more than 70 cars in service. The Denver footprint includes Boulder.

Monthly driving plans on the Zipcar platform start at $7 per month in Fort Collins, with driving rates starting at $8.50 per hour and $69 per day, according to the company’s website.

The company’s Zipcar for Business program offers discounted driving rates for businesses Monday through Friday.
