Local investors pay $1.35 million for Nederland hotel

NEDERLAND – A pair of local investors paid $1.35 million this week for the former Best Western Lodge at Nederland, which had recently been rebranded as the Magnuson Hotel Nederland.

Don Altman, of Altman Consulting and a cofounder of AGR Building Inc. in Boulder, said he and a friend purchased the 24-room lodge at 55 Lakeview Drive under the entity Nederland Investment Group LLC.

They purchased the 16,430-square-foot hotel from the estate of the late Vance Boeve, whose family had also been longtime owner of the former Golden Buff Lodge in Boulder that is being redeveloped.
