International business MBA scholarship offered

Colorado State University and the International Business Circle have joined to offer a scholarship to the university’s executive MBA program.

The scholarship will cover 10 percent of the cost of the program’s $62,000 tuition for one businessperson annually. The scholarship is open to members of IBCircle, founded in 2004 to help businesspeople expand their international networks.

The IBCircle, based in Boulder, is an invitation-only organization for people with international business experience. The organization holds international networking events in places such as Fort Collins and Boulder and has 250 members in Colorado.

Among other meetings, the organization’s so-called “no-pitch” events serve as networking sessions where sales pitches are barred.

“We have no agenda other than just to connect people,” IBCircle President Maggie Fouquet said.

Applications for the CSU Executive MBA Scholarship will be taken until Feb. 15, and will be reviewed by a panel of IBCircle members and CSU representatives. The awardee will be announced at an IBCircle event in March.

The person selected will participate in a 21-month program based in downtown Denver, beginning in August 2014. The program also includes international coursework and immersion in a country outside the U.S.
