TerraLux raises $4.5 million in equity round

LONGMONT – TerraLux Inc. in Longmont has completed a new round of equity funding worth $4.5 million, according to filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Longmont-based TerraLux designs, patents and manufactures LED-based lighting. LED is an acronym for light-emitting diode.

TerraLux officials could not be reached for comment on the new round of funding. But the company, founded in 2003, has been no stranger to raising venture capital.
