Boulder County ranch sale topped Denver metro area in September

LONGMONT — Local homebuilder Michael Markel and his wife Gail’s now former 35-acre ranch southwest of Longmont proved to be the Denver metro area’s most expensive home sale in September.

That’s according to the latest luxury homes report from Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. The report is based on multiple-listing service data of all homes sold for $1 million or more.

The Markels completed the 8,000-square-foot home at 8165 N. 73rd St. in 2007 and first listed the property, dubbed Eagle Ridge Ranch, for sale in 2014.
