Chamber names new business travel and tourism director
GREELEY — The Greeley Area Chamber of Commerce hired Heather Anderson as its new director for its travel promotions work, Visit Greeley.
Anderson was most recently executive director of Cheyenne County’s tourism work in Sidney, Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado and was an army medic.
She replaces Amy Dugan, who had been director since November 2016.
Dugan retired August 31 and plans to work part-time at the Colorado Model Railroad Museum in Greeley, a Greeley Chamber spokesperson said.
Anderson’s work will “continue to drive visitor dollars and awareness to our city and region,” said Jaime Henning, chamber president and CEO, in a press release.
The chamber of commerce contracts with Greeley for local visitor services and helps promote travel and tourism, including planning services for conferences, reunions, professional meetings and other events.
