Molecular Products buys oxygen generator firm

LOUISVILLE — Molecular Products Group, a Louisville-based company that makes systems to generate and store breathable gases, has acquired oxygen generation systems firm O.C. Lugo Co.

“As the world leader in chemical oxygen generation systems, Molecular Products is excited to welcome the O.C. Lugo Company into the Group,” Molecular Products CEO Troy Rhudy said in a prepared statement. “Our combined capabilities will support our continued growth in the defense industry while strengthening our service to our global customer base.”

O.C. Lugo is based in Pennsylvania. The newly combined company will have operations there, in Louisville and in England, according to a Molecular Products new release.
