CU Boulder receives federal trade grant to benefit manufacturing

BOULDER — The University of Colorado Boulder will receive a federal grant of $1.2 million to be used by the Rocky Mountain Trade Adjustment Assistance Center to assist manufacturers adjust to instability caused by changes to international trading relationships.

In a press release, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross said that $13 million in U.S. Economic Development Administration grants will go to 11 trade adjustment assistance centers that help manufacturers affected by imports.

The trade adjustment assistance centers are located in California, Georgia, Illinois, Massachussetts, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington and at CU in Colorado.
