CBD firm plans new CTC operation

LOUISVILLE — Elixinol LLC, a hemp and CDB product maker, is planning a new flexible-use building in the Colorado Technology Center.

The plans, which were approved last week by Louisville City Council, call for the construction of a 22,500-square-foot facility to house offices, research, production, distribution and warehouse functions, according to documents submitted to Louisville’s planning department. About 35 employees will work at the new facility at 602 Taylor Avenue.

Boulder County public records show the company bought the CTC property where the headquarters will be built for $295,000 in 2018. 

Elixinol current occupies a 10,000-square-foot lease space adjacent to the proposed new building site. The company, which has other existing operations in New Zealand and Broomfield, intends to continue leasing that space. 

“They’re growing in this industry and grabbing up space wherever they can get,” Bob Van Pelt of RVP Architecture, the Taylor Avenue project’s applicant, told members the Louisville City Council last week.
