Zayo starts largest project in Europe

BOULDER — Zayo Group Holdings Inc. (NYSE: ZAYO) has launched its largest European project to-date: extending a long-haul fiber ring in the United Kingdom to enhance latency.

The 310-mile ring will include a new buildout with two new unique routes and give access to subsea cable crossings in the Irish and North Seas.

Zayo will increase the overall fiber count on its existing U.K. network, in addition to adding the two new routes. The project will include advanced, high-count fiber types built over the shortest physical paths, which will leave customers with the maximum scalability and throughput.

The project is expected to be completed in 12 months.
