Denver mayor attends NFL Draft with hopes of bringing event to city
DENVER — Denver mayor Michael Hancock attended the NFL Draft in Texas in hopes of bringing the major event to Denver.
Denver is among five finalist cities under consideration to host the nationally televised event in 2019 or 2020, reports the Denver Post. A decision is expected in May.
While in Texas, Hancock spent time at the NFL Command Center and met with the mayor of Arlington to learn about hosting responsibilities.
