Delayed South Main Station project back on track
LONGMONT – Construction of the mixed-use development at 150 Main St. in Longmont – the former site of a Butterball meat-processing plant – is expected to begin, two years after it was approved by the city.
The Daily Camera reports that South Main Station, a $67 million public-private partnership between the city and 150 Main LLC led by Brian Bair, has been delayed by financing hangups and contaminated soil at the site.
South Main Station is expected to include 315 apartments and 9,500 square feet of commercial space. The agreement between the city and 150 Main LLC stipulates the developer must complete the project within three years of Dec. 31, 2017.
