Vestas building wind turbines for project in upstate New York

WINDSOR — Vestas Wind Systems A/S is building wind turbines in Colorado for the Copenhagen Wind Project in upstate New York.

The project consists of 40 wind turbines equaling 80 megawatts of energy. The order was made by EDF Renewable Energy and includes a 10-year active output management agreement.

Vestas’ is building the equipment at its blades, nacelles and towers plants in Windsor, Brighton and Pueblo, respectively.
