Metro Denver EDC’s Tom Clark to retire

DENVER — Tom Clark, the longtime CEO of the Metro Denver Economic Development Corp., yesterday announced that he will retire at the end of March. The Denver Post reports that the Metro Denver EDC will immediately begin a national search for Clark’s replacement.

Clark also serves as executive vice president of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, of which the EDC is an affiliate. He has a long history working at chambers and EDCs along the Front Range, including serving as director of economic development of the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce from 1982 to 1985 and as president of the Boulder Chamber from 1994 to 1997.

Clark was named the Denver Post’s Business Person of the Year in 2012.
