First RF Corp. leases large space in Gunbarrel

BOULDER — First RF Corp. has leased a 50,472-square-foot office/flex building in Gunbarrel at 6150 Lookout Road, where it will house its more than 100 employees who had been in two separate buildings in Boulder.

First RF is a women-owned advanced technologies company specializing in antennas and radio-frequency systems.

The landlord, Denver-based Etkin Johnson Real Estate Partners, acquired the building, called the Lookout Business Center, in April for $5.4 million.

Etkin Johnson renovated the building incorporating an open, flexible floor plan, new interior and exterior paint, glass overhead doors, exposed 16-foot ceilings and updated landscaping.

Etkin Johnson acquired the property from Qualcomm, but the company had previously owned and managed the property for 16 years before selling to Qualcomm in 2014 for $5.04 million.

The latest acquisition included the main building, an adjacent parking lot at 5150 Lookout, a vacant 3.7-acre parcel at 6100 Spine Road, which later was sold to Boulder firm W.W. Reynolds Cos., and a vacant 2.3-acre parcel at 6201 Spine Road that is under contract for sale.
