Financial services firm buys building in Boulder for HQ

BOULDER — The founder of Professional Financial Services Inc. in Boulder has purchased the one-story building at 385 Broadway in south Boulder that will be renovated and become the headquarters for the insurance brokerage.

GTR Properties LLC, registered to Regan Turner, paid $1.6 million to 385 Broadway LLC, registered to Matthew Johnke, for the building that was constructed in 1957 as a medical office.

Johnke had purchased the building in 2015 for $1.25 million from Bruce Alan Tenenbaum. Johnke wanted to convert the site to a mixed-use building, but the plan met resistance from neighbors. The Boulder City Council subsequently denied a…
