Crude oil prices climb following statement from Saudi government

The price of U.S. crude oil climbed back above $42 per barrel on Monday morning after the Saudi Arabian government expressed a willingness to work with other countries to stabilize prices, Reuters reports.

The news service reports that the price of West Texas Intermediate were at $42.18 at 1230 GMT, while Brent crude, the international benchmark was at $45.33.
