Agribotix, Eco BCG launch joint venture in Latin America

BOULDER — Agribotix LLC, which provides drone-enabled precision agriculture technology, announced Thursday that the company has launched a joint venture with EcoBCG to leverage its offerings in Latin America.

The new enterprise, called Agribotix-Latin America, will be headquartered in Panama City, with additional offices in Mexico City and Santiago, Chile.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and Agribotix CEO Lou Faust did not return a call seeking comment.

Eco BCG, meanwhile, is a multinational company that provides clean technologies for business operations and agricultural production.

The new deal gives Agribotix a foothold in Latin America’s substantial agriculture industry.

“It rapidly extends our platform in one of the world’s critical agricultural regions,” Faust said in a prepared statement. “Just a few weeks into our launch, the joint venture has already signed nearly a dozen customers. It’s indicative of how ag intelligence is being embraced globally, and Agribotix is playing an emerging leadership role in that growth.”
