Jay Stoner planning 1,200-home development in Evans

Northern Colorado developer Jay Stoner is planning a 1,200-home project in Evans that he expects could be built out in six to 12 years.

The Greeley Tribune reports that Stoner is working with a Toronto firm to finance the 240-acre project, which also would include a commercial center, park and trails. The development is being proposed near 65th Avenue and 37th Street.

The paper reports that Stoner has been meeting with neighboring residents to get feedback about what aspects they would like to see built in to such a community, including in the commercial center.
