Lafayette grants $42,000 to 21 local nonprofits

LAFAYETTE – The Lafayette City Council has awarded a total of $42,000 to 21 local nonprofit organizations for their contributions to local community at its 19th annual One Lafayette Grant Program event.

One Lafayette’s mission is to assist local nonprofits in the work they perform in Lafayette, enabling the community to be a better place to live.

Twelve organizations were awarded to a total of $28,000 Essential Community Resources funds. They are Boulder County Legal Services, Boulder County Care Connect, Clinica Campesina, Coal Creek Meals on Wheels, Flatirons Habitat for Humanity, Immigrant Legal Center of Boulder County, Intercambio Uniting Communities, Rocky Mountain Legal Services, Saint Benedict Health/Healing Ministry, Sister Carmen Community Center, Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence and VIA.

Empowering communities

Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP), part of the UnitedHealthcare family, has pledged its commitment to uplift these communities through substantial investments in organizations addressing the distinct needs of our communities.

Nine nonprofits were granted a total of $14,000 Special Project funds. The organizations include Audio Information Network, Boulder County Aids Project, CU Engage, Colorado Music Festival, I Have a Dream Foundation, Imagine!, Impact on Education, Project Yes, and WOW! Children’s Museum.
