Know when to fold ’em

Older workers are often reluctant to retire. This may be due to a lack of financial readiness.  They say we now need to have enough money saved to last until we are in our 90s. Yee gad. 

Sometimes we are just not emotionally ready to call it quits. What would we do every day? Not everyone has hobbies or a desire to travel. Some folks really just enjoy getting up and going to work. Go figure.
We are living and working longer than ever. Still, it is important to know when the time is right for you to transition into retirement.

Look objectively at the value you provide and determine how much longer you will be an asset to the organization.
