MacQuiddy takes helm at Greeley Chamber

GREELEY – The Greeley Chamber of Commerce picked Sarah MacQuiddy to head the business organization on a permanent basis.
MacQuiddy became interim president of the Greeley Chamber in the wake of Tim Tracy’s resignation late last year. Tracy held the post approximately four years.
The appointment of MacQuiddy, effective July 1, followed a national search process.
“I’m pleased they went through the search process,” MacQuiddy said today. “For the sake of assuring the chamber membership they had searced far and wide, I think there’s a benefit to that. I’m pleased to have survived the process.”
MacQuiddy, 48, previously served as president of the Greeley Convention & Visitors Bureau, which has been merged into the chamber. The merger takes effect Wednesday.
MacQuiddy is a past chairwoman of the Colorado Tourism Conference. She had worked for the CVB since 1996. She was also campaign director for United Way of Weld County.
A reception for MacQuiddy is scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday at the chamber’s offices, 902 Seventh Ave.
