Walk to end Alzheimer?s Aug. 27 or Sept. 17

FORT COLLINS/GREELEY — The Alzheimer’s Association of Northern
Colorado will hold its annual Fort Collins Walk to End Alzheimer’s event Aug.
27, beginning at Spring Canyon Park, 2626 W. Horsetooth Road, with event
check-in beginning at 7:30 a.m.

The 1.68-mile walk raises awareness and funds for
Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The event is held in more than 600
communities every year, and has raised more than $347 million nationally since
its inception in1989.

Those who wish to participate in the walk can register

Participants are required to make a donation, all of which will be given to the
Alzheimer’s Association.

A Walk to End Alzheimer’s is also planned for Greeley on
Sept. 17, beginning at the Island Grove Park, 501 N. 14th Ave. Check-in for
that walk will begin at 8 a.m.
