CDOT seeks comment on I-25 improvements

LOVELAND — The Colorado Department of Transportation will
hold a public hearing on its plan to fix aging infrastructure on north Interstate
25 at The Ranch, 5290 Arena Circle in Loveland, on Sept. 15 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

CDOT released the Final Environmental Impact Statement on
the preferred alternative plan for a 30-day public comment period on Aug. 19.
The preferred alternative plan was created after public comment was submitted
on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement, which addressed issues surrounding
mobility, accessibility, and safety.

“We’ve had a tremendous amount of public involvement and
cooperation from local agencies throughout the process,” said CDOT Region 4
Transportation Director Johnny Olson. “Through the collaborative effort, we
have identified a Preferred Alternative that will enhance mobility and support
continued growth throughout Northern Colorado.”

Two additional public hearings will be held in Longmont:
Sept. 12 at the Southwest Weld County building, 4209 Weld County Road 24 1/2, and
Sept. 13 at the Longmont Public Library, 409 Fourth Ave.
