Community Foundation awards $7,220 for the arts in Weld County

GREELEY — The Community Foundation serving Greeley and Weld
County recently announced grants totaling $7,220 from the Arts Alive! Fund to
various arts-oriented programs.

The agencies and projects funded were The Greeley Chorale
Inc., for the ?Tis the Season: Holidays, Handel & High School concert;
Johnstown Java and Jams Coffeehouse (3Js) for two Latino Night concerts
featuring Hispanic bands; and Union Colony Children’s Music Academy, for
scholarships to students to participate in the band program.

The Arts Alive! Fund was created in 2001 as a field of
interest fund for the arts to provide support to special interest projects in
the visual, performing and literary arts areas.
