Addiction-treatment center plans $10M building

ESTES PARK – Harmony Addiction Treatment Center will build a $10 million health center in Estes Park as part of its Support and Renew Capital Campaign.

The new building is the first of several structures to be built on the 45-acre campus and will include expanded medical detoxification services that will allow Harmony Foundation to treat more patients with more types of addiction and addiction-related disorders.

In recent years, Harmony Foundation has seen increased instances of addiction to opiates, especially OxyContin pill addiction and prescription pill addiction in general.

“Regrettably, addiction to drugs and alcohol is not getting better in our society, it is getting worse,´ said Dot Dorman, Harmony Foundation CEO, in a statement. “We must meet this challenge head-on with state-of-the-art facilities and programs.”

The building will be located on Harmony Foundation’s existing campus at 1600 Fish Hatchery Road in Estes Park.

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 18, and is open to the public.
