Vestas to hire ‘hundreds’ in Windsor, Brighton

Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (OMX: VWS) said it will add workers at its factories in Northern Colorado to fill an order for 48 wind turbines for a wind project in Maine.

Vestas said Monday it would hire “hundreds” of workers at its blade factory in Windsor and its blade and nacelle factories in Brighton to meet customer demand. The company did not say how many employees it planned to add, but it will make the new hires primarily at its blade factories.

Vestas received the order from First Wind for its V112-3.0 megawatt turbines for the Oakfield project in Maine.
