FORT COLLINS — Human Bean Northern Colorado raised more than $1,400 for the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund, a nonprofit established after the World Trade Center attacks on Sept.. 11, 2001.

Ten percent of sales on Sept. 24 from Human Bean locations at 821 N. College Ave. in Fort Collins, 6180 E. Crossroads Blvd. in Loveland and 1700 W. Main St. in Windsor were donated to the nonprofit.

“We feel incredibly privileged to support the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund and the meaningful work they do for firefighters and their families,” Frank Sherman, owner of Human Bean Northern Colorado, said in a written statement. “These brave men and women give so much to protect our communities and being able to give back to those who give so much is truly an honor. We’re grateful for the opportunity to bring our community together to support such a worthy cause.”

The Colorado chapter provides financial support for firefighters when needed, as well as resources for volunteer departments that need training or equipment.

Terry Farrell was serving for the FDNY on Rescue 4 when he was killed during the attacks. Since that time the organization has worked to support firefighters and their families with educational, medical and equipment needs.
