Trimble reports Q2 sales bump, raises revenue guidance

WESTMINSTER — Trimble Inc. (Nasdaq: TRMB), a Westminster-based industrial-technology company, posted $972 million in sales during the second quarter of fiscal 2026, up 11% year over year.

“We delivered another strong quarter, increasing annualized recurring revenue to a record $2.509 billion, with strong recurring revenue growth across all segments,” Trimble CEO Rob Painter said in a prepared statement. “Our Connect and Scale strategy is building momentum with increasingly connected data and workflows across our ecosystem. Trimble is well positioned to accelerate AI-enabled value for customers and shareholders.”

Trimble’s net loss in the most recent period was $471.7 million,  compared with a profit of $89.2 million in the second quarter of last year. “(T)he GAAP net loss was driven largely by a $562.0 million impairment of goodwill related to the Transportation and Logistics segment,” the company said.

Last month, Axios reported that Trimble has recruited Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to help facilitate the sale of its transportation and logistics business unit.

Trimble’s board of directors recently authorized a $1 billion stock buyback.

“Under the 2026 stock repurchase program, Trimble may repurchase stock from time to time through accelerated stock repurchase programs, open market transactions, privately negotiated transactions, block purchases, tender offers, or other means,” the company said. “The timing and actual amount of any stock repurchased will depend on a variety of factors, including market conditions, Trimble’s stock price, and other available uses of capital, applicable legal requirements, and other factors.”

For the full-year 2026, Trimble expects to report revenue between $3.9 billion and $3.95 billion.
