Morgus named COO at Elevate Quantum

Tyler Morgus has been named chief operating officer at Elevate Quantum, a nonprofit consortium of stakeholders who represent industry, academia, capital and laboratories in Colorado and New Mexico.

Morgus has roots as a physicist and nearly two decades of leadership experience at Thorlabs, most recently as vice president for North America. In that role, he led more than 1,000 employees across manufacturing, engineering, sales, technical service and business intelligence while overseeing facilities, capital investments, operational improvements and business growth.

Morgus will lead Elevate Quantum’s operational strategy as it expands the shared infrastructure, workforce programs and commercialization resources needed to grow a globally competitive quantum ecosystem in the Mountain West.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Tyler to Elevate Quantum as our new COO,” CEO Jessi Olsen said in a prepared statement. “His experience leading complex manufacturing, engineering and commercial operations, combined with his deep expertise in photonics and commitment to developing strong teams, makes him an exceptional fit for this role. As Elevate Quantum continues to grow, Tyler will be instrumental in scaling our operations and turning our ambitious vision for the Mountain West’s quantum ecosystem into reality.”
