Broomfield’s Vail Resorts among ski giants accused of price fixing

DENVER — Broomfield’s Vail Resorts Inc. (NYSE: MTN) and Denver-based Alterra Mountain Co. are among the resort operators accused in a recent lawsuit of colluding alongside an outdoor-industry trade group and research firm to fix ski pass prices.

“The lawsuit says the ski resorts violated antitrust law by sharing confidential revenue and cost information with the data firm, which prepared and circulated reports that helped to guide business strategy and decisions,” according to a Reuters report.
