Greeley-Weld Habitat breakfast exceeds Dick Monfort’s $100K matching challenge

GREELEY — Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity’s annual Building Impact Breakfast raised a record sum of personal donations and investments July 22, exceeding Dick Monfort’s $100,000 matching challenge.

The event took place at Christ Community Church and attracted almost 500 attendees. It represented the 10th consecutive year that Monfort had made the commitment.

Hope Springs Habitat homeowners Cody and Michelle Plaisance delivered a keynote address, with each of their five children, ages 11 to 16, speaking.

“You are not just building homes — you are building dreams and making them come true,” the Plaisance family said. “We now have a home where we can grow an amazing future for years to come. It is the biggest gift a family could ask for.”

Greeley-Weld Habitat recorded record-breaking home closings in 2025 and 2026, Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity has now closed on more than 35 homes within Hope Springs, with 65 homes completed or under various stages of construction since vertical building began 18 months ago on a community that will ultimately serve 174 families when complete.
