Voters dub Front Range Passenger Rail ‘CoCo’
DENVER — Colorado’s Front Range Passenger Rail service will be called the Colorado Connector, or CoCo for short.
The name was announced Monday following a public vote. CoCo received 9,502 votes or 36.8% of the total votes cast. The other finalist names were Colorado Ranger, Front Range Express Destinations and RangeLink.
“The Colorado Connector reflects exactly what this train is about: bringing communities together and creating a faster, cleaner and more convenient way to travel across our state,” Gov. Jared Polis said in a prepared statement. “Nearly 26,000 Coloradans stepped up to help name this train, and that level of participation shows just how excited people are about finally delivering modern passenger rail along the Front Range.”
CoCo will connect 13 Front Range communities from Pueblo to Fort Collins.
