Group to seek another voter repeal of Fort Collins code changes
FORT COLLINS – Preserve Fort Collins, the group that successfully mounted a petition drive earlier this year that forced the Fort Collins City Council to repeal a massive change in the city’s land-use code that allowed for increased housing density and virtually abolished single-family zoning, is again pursuing a voter-led repeal of the revised changes approved by the council on Oct. 17.
The group’s organizer, Ross Cunniff, a former City Council member, told the Fort Collins Coloradoan that the new changes didn’t address the group’s concerns about existing neighborhoods and the city’s superseding of homeowners’ association covenants.
