USA Today: Colorado tops in restaurant inflation

Colorado restaurants have the most inflated prices in the nation, according to a new study from USA Today.

Restaurant spending in the Centennial state is up 24% since the beginning of the year, compared to just 9% nationwide.

The result has been a 2% drop in reservations since February.

“People are now spending an average of $112.95 in restaurants every two weeks, up from $91.45 six months ago,” according to the USA Today study, which analyzed U.S. Census Bureau data.
