Newly merged Eberspächer Vairex moves into new Lafayette facility
LAFAYETTE — Eberspächer Vairex, formed last year with the acquisition of Boulder fuel cell company Vairex Air Systems (the trade name for Victori LLC) by German automotive component supplier Eberspächer Group GmbH, now calls Lafayette home.
The organization has leased about 12,500 square feet in a flex space at 1391 Horizon Ave.
Eberspächer Vairex’s new facility will allow it to “expand development and production of the company’s industry-leading fuel cell compressors and associated subsystems,” according to a company news release.
Vairex, which was founded in 2009 and previously headquartered on Valmont Road in Boulder, develops and manufactures fuel cell cathode air compressors and related components that are used for emission-free forklifts and conveyor vehicles.

“This beautiful new facility is increasing our capability in every way, from the number of employees in all departments, through testing and production, only nine months after joining Eberspächer,” Eberspächer Vairex CEO Ski Milburn said in the release. “Only minutes from our original home in Boulder, it is closer to the labor markets of the Denver metropolitan area, and just over a half-hour’s drive from Denver International Airport, increasing ease of access for our customers, suppliers, and partners.”
The building at 1391 Horizon Ave. is owned by Mojo Partners LLC, an entity registered to a Boulder address.
Boulder County property records show Mojo bought the space in 2019 for $342,800.
